Little Beauty

For anyone who has a girl toddler, you can identify...
My little Lyla loves girly stuff.
She loves dress ups,
she loves my makeup,
she loves dresses, and
she loves me to do her hair.
Little does she know now,
but she is growing up in a world that will put a HUGE emphasis on her looks.
The world will tell her beauty is skinny,
beauty is unblemished,
beauty is sexy
beauty is getting what you want.
But that's not what God says beauty is.
God says a woman is beautiful BECAUSE
she has a pure heart (1 Samuel 16:7),
she is submissive (1 Peter 3:5),
and she has a gentle and quiet spirit.
The Bible says worldy beauty is fleeting (Proverbs 31:30)
"The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them.
People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
